What is a PUK code?

Top up & Balance
A PUK code stands for personal unlocking key; it is a code that is used to unlock a SIM card. If you incorrectly enter your SIM PIN code three times in succession, a lock will be placed on your SIM card, and you will need a PUK code to unlock it.

Your PUK code can be found on the back of the SIM card holder your SIM card is attached to when first purchased. If you no longer have the packaging you can contact customer services on 1755.

Note: If you enter the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. The phone will display the following error: "SIM blocked".
